Philanthropic foundations have long engaged in public-private partnerships (PPPs). These aim to provide a neutral environment for governments to collaborate with the private sector, NGOs and individuals in ways otherwise not possible. The trend of increasing PPPs in both developed and developing regions attests to the potential of such collaborations to create and scale social impact.

This session will showcase the role of public-private partnerships in scaling solutions for social impact to address urban issues. In particular, the speakers will examine challenges and opportunities for PPPs in the philanthropic context.
